What is a patio sliding screen door?

A patio sliding screen door is a screen that moves across a track of a sliding glass door.  The sliding screen door has spring loaded rollers mounted at the bottom and top of the frames. It slides on the track of a sliding glass door.

Its 90 degree end creates a rectangular shaped frame similar to a picture frame. It holds the fiberglass screening into place with a rubber or foam spline. The spline is pushed into a channel of the frame. The mesh is tightened firm when spline is pushed in with screening all into the groove with a rolling tool.

Sliding screen doors primary function is to keep out pests like birds, flies, mosquitos, other insects or airborne debris like leaves from entering the house.

It also assists with protecting pets and small children from getting out. It especially allows fresh air, and some sunlight to enter the house of apartment.
